With the Piuma frame, back in 1999, we achieved a weight of less than 1,000 grams using aluminum. In modern times, we’ve understood that lightness is important, but it’s not everything. That’s why with Fly, we’ve designed a frame that is very lightweight yet capable of outstanding performance not only uphill but also highly manoeuvrable downhill and especially comfortable for long distances.
The evolution of our patented technology, the “Max Energy Drive,” which emerged in 2006 with the Sansone model, has guided us towards the Fly. Here, we’ve perfected a rear carriage that is even more high-performing, responsive, and visually appealing.
The particular shape of the tubing used aims for rigidity and lightness without compromising the renowned handling of Daccordi frames.

Fly is built with Toray T700e T800 carbon fibre, assembled together with the tube-to-tube method and then vacuum moulded after the layering process.
This process allows for increased stiffness and resistance.
The assembling process takes place with high quality resins at 130’C. Kevlar parts are added among the carbon fibre sheets which give elasticity in critical spots, reducing the possibility of breaking and increasing the resistance to any impact. Wider seats are used in the rear triangle to eliminate lateral torsion.
