MODEL
The Profidea is a frame that alone encapsulates over 20 years of history. And we’re not just talking about Daccordi’s history.
Italia, for which the legendary Nelson “Cacaito” Rodriguez competed, already in the second half of the nineties it had to give way to aluminum, which supplanted steel for top-of-the-line frames. Thus, the Profidea was kept in our collection, but no longer with the prestige of being the flagship product.
Over time, however, the “intoxication” with aluminum begins to fade, and, also thanks to the advent of carbon, enthusiasts slowly begin to rediscover steel and its qualities.
So classic frames like the New Griffe are increasingly in demand, and at Daccordi, we decide over time to update the Profidea, making it more and more modern, acquiring all the typical characteristics of a frame today: tapered steerer, lighter tubing, up to the version for disc brakes.
Profidea represents the past and the future of steel.

Triple enforced Nobium steel, minimum thickness 0,45 mm maximum thickness 0,8 mm. Steel with an ultimate adjustable strength of 1050/1150 MPa, yield strengthat 705 MPa, minimum lengthening at 14%. With incredible resilience over the years.
Handling is improved thanks to the tapered steering. The pleasure descending through the tight bends in the road would be like no other.
With the best steel and fillet brazing, Profidea is comfortable but without losing its twisting power. The design we propose are for long distances, with the ability to mount larger tyres, however it was created as a made-to-measure frame so it can be built for racing.
